SECCA DEL PAPA – It is considered one of the most beautiful dives in the Mediterranean. Located about 300mt off Punta Papa, to which it owes its name because of the curious resemblance of the rock to the figure of a Pope, the shoal, from a 40mt bottom, rises to 16mt, where mooring is allowed. During this dive, current is sometimes encountered that leaves little choice of possible routes making it particularly challenging and not suitable for entry-level divers.
TEGGHJA LISCIA – A vertical wall along the south-central side of Tavolara Island indicates that we are at Teddja Liscia. The vertical wall gives us reference for descending to a 12-15mt shallow. Immediately we lurk, as if overlooking a balcony, on the landslide. Here a large grouper, very good at camouflaging itself in the Posidonia, has burrowed. As the bottom slopes down, scenery for all tastes alternates: large boulders, often a hiding place for groupers, ravines, home to Mullet Kings, and short passages where sea daisies and sponges of different colors stand out amidst plays of light.
PUNTA ARRESTO – The shoal of Punta Arresto is a large site, characterized by granite assommates that reach up to a few meters from the surface, exceptional visibility and the variety of the panorama. There are two buoys to allow you to explore, with different routes, the entirety of the shoal, which has depths that vary greatly from a few meters to over 30.
OMEGA WRECK – Easy and at the same time interesting dive, because of the splendid visibility. This is a wreck of a large Italian fishing boat, dramatically wrecked in the 1970s, due to a collision on the rocks. The wreck is located near the Cerri rocks, about a mile east of Molara Island, is broken into three sections, with the bow overturned, while the engine part is uncovered and can be visited. Apogon and Nudibranchs, passing pelagic fish, especially in autumn, can be found.
