With its 180 km of coastline in the Archipelago there are some of the most famous and suggestive beaches in the Mediterranean; particularly worthy of mention are the Pink Beach, the Cavaliere beach on the island of Budelli, the beaches of Cala Coticciu, Cala Napoletana and the Relitto in Caprera, Cala Corsara and Cala Granara in Spargi. Suggestive on the island of La Maddalena Bassa Trinita, with its white sand dunes, Monti da Rena or the cliff of Punta Tegge.
The inlets and coves that determine a myriad of extremely articulated natural landings give a unique feature to the landscape, making it possible to find places able to give safety to sailors in different sea conditions. The colors of the sea that have made the archipelago famous all over the world are closely related to them, in particular the port of Madonna, Cala Corsara, the beach of Cala Lunga di Razzoli, Santa Maria, Cala Coticciu. from human occupation since ancient times, as shown by the prehistoric sites of Spargi and Santo Stefano, it was frequented during the Roman period, also for the extraction of stone materials for the construction of columns and other artifacts.

SOME IDEAS TO MAKE THE BEST USE OF YOUR TIME DURING THE RENTAL - ALL ITINERARIES ARE FLEXIBLE
RENTAL full day
Caprera
Garibaldi Island, after La Maddalena, is the second largest island in the Park but it is the first for the beauty of its coasts and beaches and for the particularity of the flora as well as for some nice specimens of goat that roams there .
Spargi
It is the largest of the four and is known for its beaches on the eastern side. Cala Corsara, Cala Connari, Cala Granara and many other coves surrounded by large granite rocks sculpted by the wind and lush vegetation that stops up to the edge of the shore with beaches with white sands and emerald water make up the spectacular nature of this island that it presents itself to the visitor as an authentic corner of paradise.
Moreover, the fortifications placed on the north side, overlooking the sea, and camouflaged among the enormous granite boulders and the thick scrub that characterize the entire island are striking.

Budelli
The island, located just north of that of Spargi, is famous for the mythical Pink Beach. The coral-colored beach, the chromatic intensity of the colors of the sea and the shapes of the granite that surround the cove constitute a unique spectacle in the world. The pink beach of Budelli – immortalized by the director Michelangelo Antonioni with a very long sequence in the film “Red Desert” – is located south-east of the island of Budelli in the Archipelago of La Maddalena and is so defined because of its characteristic pink color coral. In reality this depends on the presence in the shoreline of calcareous shells of Miniacina miniacea, a foraminiferous protozoan, whose habitat is identified in the rhizomes of Posidonia oceanica, the most important marine phanerogama of the Mediterranean Sea. The famous Pink Beach is one of the most protected areas of the entire La Maddalena Archipelago, since access to the beach, transit or parking of nautical vehicles in the water in front of it and bathing have always been prohibited. Thanks to the institutive laws and the specific ordinances issued over the years, the Pink Beach is fully protected. In the territory of the Park, in any case, the supervision of compliance with the protection rules is the task of the police.
Razzoli and Santa Maria
They are almost joined by the Asinelli Pass. The island of Razzoli is the most exposed to the north and impresses with the majesty of its cliff and the shapes of its rocks, similar to Moore’s sculptures. The lighthouse overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio is imposing and evocative. In S. Maria, however, where there are some houses built before the construction bans, there is still an ancient and modest convent where in the Middle Ages the Benedictine friars, fleeing from Boniface, found refuge. The island has a beautiful beach, Cala Santa Maria, one of the largest in the archipelago. In the peace of Santa Maria the screenwriter Franco Solinas, one of the most prestigious authors of world cinema, has written many pages of the most important films of Italian “committed” cinema. In the suggestion of these places rests Gian Maria Volontè who sails alone among the islands and in the impetuous wind of the Archipelago.
Porto della Madonna
This is the name of the lagoon with an emerald sea enclosed between the islands of Budelli, Razzoli and S. Maria. It is undoubtedly the most evocative place in the Park. A popular destination for yachtsmen who frequent the sea in the north east of Sardinia. In this extraordinary body of water, the Park has reserved large areas of the sea dedicated to snorkeling and seawatching activities.
